Topic’s been lucky enough to be featured in the Utne Reader several times, first with a feature in their “Street Librarian” section by Chris Dodge where he wrote that Topic Magazine was “a substantial, provocative, engaging new publication.” Later that year, in the Utne’s Best Independent Press Awards 2004, we were nominated for Best New Title and Best Design. In the 2006 awards, out this month, we were nominated for Best Design once again. The Utne reader prides itself in featuring the best of the alternative press, and Topic is proud to be continuing in that great tradition.
